One Step Closer Chapter 1"One more step, come on, you can do it." I said, trying to reassure myself as I walked down the street. One Step Closer Chapter 1 by galadriel-the-small
"What if it happens again?"
"Stay calm, it only happens when you're agitated."
Yesterday at school was probably the worst day I have ever had, I don't even know what happened. One minute I was in History learning about Russia during WW2 then my teacher was telling me off for not doing my homework and I suddenly felt a burst of anger flood through me and without moving from my seat I managed to make a chair fly across the room and it hit my teacher. They took him to hospital and apparently he is in a coma.
I didn't want to go back there ever again, but I knew I had to. What else could I do?
As I turned the corner I saw the tall, black, iron gates. They looked taller today, more menacing, but that was probably because I was scared. I saw all my classmates and friends walking in like it was just another normal day and I wished it was, but it wasn't and it never would be ever again.

"Hi, I'm Alfie" I replied, and I manage a smile but it feels like the biggest lie I have ever told.
Then the nurse walked in and started running some tests on him, checking his blood pressure. I looked around the room but my eyes kept drifting back to him. His, however, stayed transfixed on me; as if he couldn't remember the last time he had seen anyone apart from his family or the nurses and doctors in the hospital. I wanted to speak to him but I didn't know what to say, I mean, what is there to say to a 9 year old boy who has
